Dear Fifteen Year Old Me

Dear fifteen year old me,

You have had some rough time over the past two years.
Moving country is hard but adapting is harder, isn’t it?
Well, will you trust me? You’re going to be OK.

Mum is going to make you do Engineering. No surprise there, but you should do it.
Dad seems cool with everything you do, but he may need your assistance later.
If the time ever comes, support him, will you?
I can’t tell you how everything turns out.
Honestly, just do whatever you can.
We have nothing to lose.

It is sad to tell you that bullies and racists will still be here in the future.
If anything, it would only mean for us to keep getting stronger.
Idiots aren’t worth our time anyway.

And in few years, you may be smitten and heartbroken over people.
You will get stress over stupid things.
But you’ll be fine.

Just keep holding on, my dear little me.
We’ll be fine.

May happy thoughts be with us always,
Your twenty six year old you

This is very honest, and you’ve done well. I think, every 15yrs old version needs to hear that things are going to be ok. Love this!

Yes, we were all still too young to understand back then but if only I’d rewind back time, I’d tell myself I’ll be ok. Thank you Susanne! x
