April Favourites

Woah, are we almost half way through the year already? I could barely catch my breath in the last four months. I’ve seen everyone’s April Favourites’ posts and I realised I hadn’t even taken notice of what IĀ  had liked throughout April. Thank God it’s Friday today and I got off work early, so I managed to finally sit myself down and think back.

  • I didn’t know how good Snack a Jacks Chocolate Chip is until I nicked a piece off my sister’s snacks stash. Ever since then, I’d asked Mum to buy extra few packs whenever she went on a grocery shopping. They’re healthy for you as well!

  • I’ve really been loving tapered joggers/trousers (ones in the picture are from Bershka). I don’t think I’ve worn jeans at all last month.
  • Couldn’t be more proud to say that this Faraa’s antioxidant lip butter was produced by my friend from back home. It keeps selling out in Malaysia and no wonder why, because it really soften my lips! The tint would appear in a slight pink or would even turn your lips red – coordinating to your blood type. Interesting, right? Most of all, I like its caramel minty smell.

  • Satin scarves, I’m in love with youuu. These scarves were brought by my twin cousins when they came to visit us last month, and I have been rotating them for everyday wear ever since then.

  • Also a present all the way from Malaysia – SugarBelle matte lip liquid in this dark orangey colour. They gave me this because they thought the colour would suit me. All this while, I really thought that this sort of colour (I am scared to wear anything lighter than maroon or dark red) would not suit me at all but well, you’d never know unless you try, right? And I’ve been using this quite a lot in the past two weeks. Best of all, the quality is almost as good as my all time favourite Girlactik matte lip paint.

  • Last but not least, I’ve been a little bit obsessed about finding out the truth on Chanel’s alliance with the Nazi. I’ve heard about it a while ago but never really bothered about it (I can’t afford any of Chanel’s products anyway, so no regrets there). Until one day, I had read a snippet off this book and I couldn’t get enough of this Hal Vaughan’s story so, I bought the book on Amazon. Yes, I’ve been reading this for more than two weeks now and being like a detective, trying to find out where the truth actually lied. I’d definitely do a review on it soon.

Thank you for reading this post.
May you have happy thoughts always,

  1. The lipstick looks amazing. This book sounds super cool! I have heard of the story too and always wondered where the truth lied, just like you! I may give it a go! xx corinne

*corrected ‘lied’ instead of ‘lies’ after reading your comment*

Yes, please do read it if you can get hold of it. Maybe we can discuss then? I’m good at understanding but crap at explaining so, I’m actually dreading to review it…in case people would come to me and start questioning my knowledge about it. *sobs*

These are some great favourites! That lipstick that coordinates with your blood type sounds so nice, and definitely something right up my ally. I love quirky makeup pieces which stick out in the market! I had no idea that Chanel were considered alliances with the Nazi’s, but I’m really interested in history, so I think I’m gonna add that book to my overflowing to be read list.

It is! My friend is currently trying to market it outside of Malaysia as well, and I’m trying my best to encourage her to do so. If you don’t mind me surveying you, how much would you pay for it? How would you consider Ā£10-Ā£13?

Same here, I’m really interested in history too and this book is a good read. I do wonder why is it not a big deal, if what I’ve read was the truth. Hmm.

It is fabulous indeed! And yes, I didn’t think I would wear orange but that colour by SugarBelle really is pretty! šŸ™‚ x

That’s so amazing that your friend produced that lip butter, it looks so cute! I’m definitely in need of investing in some trousers, I think I need to give my jeans a rest! xx

    • captaineverland May 8, 2017 / 9:36 pm

Yeah, I’m really quite proud of her. Hehe. I guess I am giving my jeans a rest at the moment, but I have to admit jeans are the most convenient. They don’t need ironing for a starter, aha. xx

Oh wow that book looks amazing! I’d never even heard there was a connection.

    • captaineverland May 8, 2017 / 9:37 pm

No, I don’t think a lot of people know. It’s been pretty amazing cover-up all this time.

    That snack looks so appetising.

I rarely buy pants or jeans, maybe I should get some real soon. I have like 5 only hahaha because it’s so hard to find pants in my size.

I have so many lip butter because I am obsessed with them. Sometimes take sempat habit dah beli yang baru. Maybe I should get this one too hehehe the packaging is too cute šŸ™‚

Man, I can’t wait for the review on the book!!

    • captaineverland May 8, 2017 / 9:51 pm

My cousins said the snack is like ‘bepang’. I don’t know if you’ve heard of it, but yes. Haha.

Aww but these pants are really quite comfortable. They have stretchy waistband for a starter, and a little baggy around the thighs so, they’re perfect (I tak suka pakai ketat huhu).

Haha we can never get enough of lip balms/lip butters! Yes, the packaging is really cute, isn’t it? Beli laaa! Hehe.

I can’t wait to write a review for it too but I need to get all the facts right beforehand. If what I’ve been reading were all true, it should have been a big controversy…oh well, it has been quite a while.

I forgot to say that the colour o f the lipgloss look so good on you. I tried coral-like lipstick colour before and it looks so weird on me. It was too bright so I stopped wearing bright colours lol! >_<

    • captaineverland May 8, 2017 / 9:56 pm

Hehe thank you! I always thought brighter colour lipsticks look weird on me too, until I got this one. Maybe you should find a darker shade of coral and try it šŸ™‚
