March Favourites

We’re halfway through April and I only realised that I haven’t done my March Favourites yet. I’ve already missed my February Favourites and I don’t plan to miss anymore monthly favourites’ posts, because they’re especially fun to write!

  • Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls. Probably one of my favourite books that I own so far in my life. Such an inspirational book to read especially to young girls (and boys too).

  • My Burberry Blush. I sprayed this perfume in Burberry’s flagship store in London few months back, and the smell had haunt me ever since then. I actually bought My Burberry Black (the blurry bottle on the left) at first, but the smell was not the smell from the store. Then I got this pink one in 30ml – in case I’d get it wrong again – and finally, I’ve found it!

  • Tiger Balm ointment. I love the smell. And it definitely helps my back (and muscle) ache. This balm that I got was from Malaysia, but I saw it in one of the shops in Soho China Town, in London. And recently, I’ve seen it in Boots and I actually couldn’t be happier – I’ve already stock up some at home.
  • Imperial Leather Unicorn Foamburst. I loveee foamburst (except its expensive price) and I got this Unicorn limited edition when it was on offer, and I’ve been loving it ever since. It smells so good on my skin!

  • Music playlist – 白 (White) by Yang Yoseop. Supposedly, this was one of my February favourites, but I still listen to Where I am Gone (the music video above) last month. Yoseop’s voice has that soothing effect, and this album is just beautiful overall!

  • But my real jam in March was Boss by NCT U. I was so addicted to the beat. Also, it’s amazing how they’ve reached 28 million views within 2 months!

  • And last but not least, last month was when I’d satisfied my longing for some good Japanese dramas, and I’m so glad I decided to watch these dramas:
  • Todome no Kissu (Kiss That Kills), a supernatural/mystery/romance (10 episodes) Japanese drama. I still can’t fully get over this drama. I had so much laugh, and was frustrated at times, but still loving it. I love the actors/actresses, the plot and the whole dramaaa! [Gifs credit]
  • Jimi Ni Sugoi! Koetsu Garu Kono Etsuko (a bloody long title I know, but the English is Simpleness is Great! Proofreader Etsuko Kono). The main two things I watched this drama were for the actress (in the gifs), and fashion. But this drama turned out to be one of the best Japanese dramas I’ve watched. It was inspiring and definitely funny as well. [Gifs credit]
  • Tunnel. Ok, this one is not Japanese, but a Korean thriller/detective (16 episodes) drama and it was awesome too! [Gifs credit]

So, I managed to watch three dramas in a month. And I would totally recommend these three dramas if you fancy watching Asian dramas (if you like the genre I mentioned above).

Thank you for reading this post.
May you have happy thoughts always,

The book’s brilliant. And that foamburst is currently on offer at one of the supermarkets, but I can’t remember which one, huhuu. But yes, do try it. xx

If you love the smell of fresh and floral, you’d love the perfume! And yes, monthly favourites are such fun to write on! 😀 xx

That book cover is beautiful! I’ve never used my Burberry Blush but I did have My Burberry years ago. I’d totally forgotten about it until I read this but I used to really like it x

    • captaineverland May 3, 2018 / 10:02 pm

It is! I have never tried the original My Burberry, but I’ve heard that they’re not that much of a difference. But I do love My Burberry Blush because it smells of floral and fresh at the same time. My Burberry Black smells stronger though. xx

I bought Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls for my niece who is a little young for it at the moment, but I hope she’ll treasure it as she grows up.. 🙊 Imperial Leather Unicorn Foamburst sounds incredible as well! 😍

    • captaineverland May 3, 2018 / 10:03 pm

Aww that’s so sweet! I’m pretty sure she’d love it. And yes, you should try the foamburst! Hehe xx

I love Tiger Balm! I am beyond convinced that it can cure all ailments (I mean it probably doesn’t but it makes everything better!). Ooh, I’ve only really ever heard of popular Korean dramas but these Japanese shows you’ve described sound very interesting.

It doesn’t really cure all, but definitely soothing enough and makes the ache less achy. Hehe yesss, that’s why I am recommending these dramas to you guys 🙂 xx

I’ve heaes positive things about Tiger Balm but wasn’t sure if it was available in the UK. I’ll have to check it out.

    • captaineverland May 3, 2018 / 10:08 pm

Yes, you can get it from Boots now. I’ve linked it in the post (‘ in Boots’). xx

I have had my eye on this book so must add it to my list to purchase!

Those are some great favs! I’ve never tried tiger balm but is it really affective for back aches? I would definitely want to check it out! xx

    • captaineverland May 3, 2018 / 10:14 pm

It actually does for me. Like when I massaged it on my achy body part, I’d feel it warming up few seconds after. The smells pretty much soothing itself. You should try it! xx

OMG, I used to own the Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls, or something really similar, when I was a child and I loved it! Such a flashback to see it again!

OMG that Unicorn foamburst!!! I love foam cleanser, now I’m using Nivea. Now I want that oneeee! hahaha I am obsessed! X)

Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls is in my to-buy list. I’m just curious to read it because I’m a bit of a rebel (just a tad bit..) lol

My sister used to wear that Burberry perfume but now she’s wearing the Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday because she said EDP is too expensive for someone like her yang tak berjalan ke mana-mana. Nicki Minaj tu pun she got it for cheap at Genting Premium Outlet. She said Burberry Blush smells soooo good!

I don’t wanna say anything about NCT because I could write an essay just based on that ONE song. So, nope! Yang Yoseop’s album however, damn that is one pretty album. I’m sorry that I didn’t even know about his solo activity to keep up or even comment about the song. I will give the song a listen for sure 👍🏻

I wish I know where to watch Japanese drama because tak pernah tengok langsung. Not even once. Yang ada ni pun drama mengarut like Ultraman ke apa benda tah.. hahahahaha

Okay… I didn’t know Choi Jin Hyuk was in Tunnel! hmmm memang kena tengoklah nampaknya.. lol!
